a couple months ago i found these two chairs at a thrift store for ten bucks, it was like the sky parted and angels sang when i saw them. i had been looking for two armless chairs for ages.first i unscrewed both seats from the chairs. something you should know about me is i am straight up obsessed with spray paint. its the world cheapest and easiest way to redo anything and everything. love it. so i busted out the white lacquer and sprayed the crap out of those bad boys. next i ripped off the fabric and underneath was the yellow damask( first pic) which i liked but it wasn't salvageable. there was barely any padding left so after stripping them down i covered them with thick batting to make them more comfy. after pondering tons of fabric choices i decide to try painting my own so i splatter painted a large piece of bright white canvas from a fabric store, but really any fabric would look amazing. i chose my two favorite areas and cut out the pieces to cover each seat. i wanted them both to be slightly different. i used a staple gun and glue gun to attach the batting layer and fabric. voila! dope new chairs. total cost probably $25.
I love this idea. Thanks for sharing!
